FoWGP Membership
The best way to support the ongoing conservation efforts is by joining the Friends of Woodthorpe Grange Park (FoWGP) with an annual membership. You will gain the opportunity to contribute to this vital work and hear directly from the friends what has been happening in the background.
You are welcome to become a member just to hear more about what we have done, there is no obligation to take part in any of the activities. However, if you have an hour or two to spare and would like to become involved in the friend's activities, or if you have a skill you feel would enhance the friend’s range of activities, we'd love to have you on board.
Membership enables the following benefits:
- 10% reduction at the Woodthorpe Plant Shop and, during seasonal events, pop-up café (with the production of an up-to-date membership card).
- Priority communication about all FoWGP organised activities and meetings.
- Priority communication of any other activities other than those organised by FoWGP.
- Free access to guided walks by local experts (organised by FoWGP) including heritage or trees around Woodthorpe Grange Park.
- Voting right on key topics at the Annual General Meeting.

Other ways to support
Although our work relies on members who are passionate about seeing the park thrive, you can support us by making an individual contribution if you wish. All the money we collect goes directly back into the work and activities that support conservation of the park. We are not employees of the council, however we do partner with and support the work they do.
Sunday Gardening Sessions
For all those who enjoy gardening and would like to maintain the flower beds in Woodthorpe Park’s gardens (keeping them free from weeds etc) why not come along and be part of the team?
The group meet every Sunday morning outside the Grange at 10am and do various gardening tasks for approximately 2 hours, however whatever time/effort you can spare would be appreciated.
You can also support the park by purchasing from the on-site plant shop, they sell surplus stock from their nursery at affordable prices. You can expect seasonal favourites, as well as trees, shrubs and flowers.
Plus, as a FoWGP member you'd get 10% off a wide range of plants and accessories.
